‘From Ajnana to Jnana’ – Teachers’ Day Celebrations

 Daikho Mathew

Teachers are an extremely important facet of any society for a number of reasons and their role in society is both significant and valuable. Teachers play an extraordinary part in the lives of students for the formative years of their development and the importance of teachers is something that cannot be understated.

A teacher is a friend, philosopher, and guide who holds our hand, opens our mind, and touches our heart. Knowing fully well the importance and preciousness of teachers in our lives, Teachers’ Day was celebrated with much enthusiasm in Divyadaan, Nashik. The day commenced with a solemn Mass presided over by Rev. Joachim D’Souza. Then at 9:00 a.m. students, thanking the Almighty Father for all our teachers animated a short prayer service. Immediately after the prayer service, the students escorted the teachers to the Hall for a short felicitation programme.

The students of various courses expressed their love and gratitude for their teachers through their creative and entertaining items.  The programme came to its conclusion with the presentation of teachers’ day gift to show our love and appreciation for our teachers. May God Bless all our Teachers.
